My first trip to the beach

After all that talk about the awfully cold weather, i thought id share with all of you about my first trip to the beach!!! My doodle cousins Olive and Henry have a house down the jersey shore in Asbury Park, so one day my mom and i packed up the car and headed down for the afternoon. On the way down mom told me all about the beach was. I imagined it as this big bath tub surrounded by soft fluffy stuff that i couldn't wait to rub my face in. As we pulled up to my cousin's house i could hardly contain my excitement, my tail felt like it was going to fly right off my furry little body. We then took the walk to the boardwalk where we went to a place called Wonder Bar. There were so many doggies and their humans there. Apparently this was a place where the humans go to have a few "cold ones" while us dogs got to play with one another. Here is a picture of me and some of the furry friends i made.
The next stop was THE BEACH!!! As we got closer my nose started to pick up a scent that i wasn't familiar with....the big bath tub. We turned the corner and next thing i knew there it was, the big bath tub :). Mom unclipped my leash and i was off like the wind. As my cousins are 65 and 85 lbs they are a little faster then i am so it took me a while to catch up with them. When i finally caught up i was standing right in front of it. This bath tub wasn't like anything i have ever seen!! The water would come up and touch my paws then it would go away!
I had all this room to run and all these dogs to play with. Everywhere i looked there was a new friend to be made and a new ball to chase. Furry friends if your humans haven't taken you to the beach yet it is a must!!! Although you must be prepared to get a good scrub down afterwards as the soft fluffy stuff they call sand gets stuck everywhere!

When we were done with the beach i was ready to crash. We took the walk back to my cousins house where we got some water and when we calmed down dinner. The three of us then curled up together and took a long nap while our mommy's and daddy's went out. I cant wait for this summer to go back and play in the big bath tub and soft fluffy stuff. I hope you all enjoyed reading about my first beach experience. Below i have some pictures from that day.

Baby its cold outside

Hello everyone!
WOOF! Has this past week been cold or what!!! It didn't go above 25 which meant no trips to the park for me :( after all the humans don't have a built in winter coat like i do. So in turn my week consisted of many naps around the house and the occasional venture outside for a very short amount of time. That is until today when the weather finally decided to warm up :) So my mom and i took the short walk to the field by our house for a game of fetch ( my favorite game ever!! ). Below is a picture of me in my new winter coat with my best friend the orange ball
After a good game and a short walk is was bath time. Unlike some dogs i fully enjoy a good bath as i LOVE the water and to swim. My mom got me a new shampoo from Petsmart that helps make my coat really white. I would def suggest this to my furry friends with white hair. It is by GNC and its whitening shampoo. I spent the rest of my evening curled up by the fire place while the humans watched their sunday night tv.
Well until next time, hope everyone has a good week :)

Allow me to introduce myself

Hello Readers
As you might have guessed from my profile picture i am a dog, yes that's right, a dog. My name is Rudy Cornelius Snyder (i know, awful middle name, but that's what the humans gave me), i am a 1 year old Cockapoo. I was born in Hingham MA on 11/11/11 (pretty cool if i do say so myself). I was the last of 7 puppies, but i didn't let that stop me from being the boss of my litter. From day one, i have made it clear that this is my world and everyone else is just living in it. That mentality sure did work in my favor when i was picked up by my mom and aunty lex on December 29th, 2011. All i had to do was flash my baby blues and they were putty in my paws, and let me tell you, nothing has changed.

That was a long first day. I wasn't too sure about those new two legged dogs that were suddenly taking me away from my mom, dad, and siblings. They, then put me in this moving box on wheels and we started our journey to my new home. It felt like the day was never ending.. since as you know we dogs have no concept of time. After what seemed like days, we arrived at my Aunty Lex's house so i could stretch my little legs and get something to eat. There i meet my cockapoo cousin, Louie. It was love at first sight, well for me at least. Louie looked at me like a was a creature from another planet. After some play time, i was ready to crash and be on my way to my new home.

We arrived shortly thereafter at my new home. BOY, was that exciting!!! A big new house for me to smell, explore, and use as my toilet :) That first night was a ruff one, I wasn't use to sleeping alone..but my new human mommy was close by. And to this day I haven't left her side.

Well everyone, that is enough blogging for now. My paws are getting tired, it isn't easy typing without thumbs ya know? Check back for updates on my very spoiled life, new adventures, photos, and tips for our human friends to keep us dogs happy!!
